Oscar A. Jofre Jr.
Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer
Oscar A. Jofre Jr. is responsible for establishing the overall strategic direction for BoardSuite and has senior oversight of its operations, product and business development.
As the senior corporate leader and spokesperson for BoardSuite, Oscar applies more than two decades of experience in successful start up enterprises to lead the company’s ongoing development and growth with senior customer contacts, partners and key stakeholder relationships. Oscar also serves BoardSuite as an executive member of the Board of Directors.
A Chilean-born entrepreneur, innovator and IT specialist, Oscar brings a background of 20 years in senior management, marketing, investor relations and sales and a proven pattern of results-focused leadership. As founder and CEO of Ottawa-based BabelFish Corporation, a SaaS-based multilingual translation portal, he built and led a team of over 135 individuals in providing high-tech multilingual solutions to 7,600 contractors around the world.
Oscar co-founded the Canadian Network of Language Industries and sat on the steering committee of the Language Industry Technology Roadmap – an initiative of Industry Canada and the National Research Council. He was the only Canadian on the United Nations/MIT Digital Nations. Oscar currently sits on the boards of BoardSuite Corp., OSOLOS Ventures Inc., CorpTropolis Corp. and HispanoTech.
A true visionary, with a talent for identifying technology opportunities, BoardSuite is Oscar’s fifth start-up in what he calls his mission to humanize technology.

Jim Collins
Chief Financial Officer
Jim Collins is responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of BoardSuite and provides leadership in the risk management, business planning, accounting and budgeting efforts of the company.
Jim is a Chartered Accountant with more than 20 years experience building and growing both public and private companies. He recently provided financial consulting services by assisting and advising clients on the acquisition of a number of private companies concurrent with the preparation of associated filing documentation for a public listing. Prior to being a consultant, he was the CFO of a public company that processed organic waste and contaminated soil with the objective of beneficial re-use. Other industry experience includes alternative energy generated from fuel cells and biotechnology where he held senior financial positions.

Greg Harper
Chief Operating Officer
Greg Harper is responsible for the day-to-day operations of BoardSuite and provides leadership in M&A activity, short-term and long-range planning and budget development to support strategic business goals.
Greg is a seasoned executive with more than 25 years of demonstrated proficiency in investment management, corporate finance, operations and administration. He founded Harles Management, a strategic management company, where he has advised businesses in areas of capital management, revenue growth and profitability. Harper began his career as a Securities Trader at Canada Life followed by a position in Private Placements. Harper then joined Colonia Life and at the time of the sale of the company he held the position of Senior Investment Officer responsible for all areas of investment and portfolio management. Following this Harper was Chief Operating Officer at FRI Corporation primarily responsible for restructuring.
Greg actively holds executive and board positions in selected for-profit and not-for-profit organizations and is an active member of the Chartered Financial Analysts Institute.

Melanie Kurzuk
Chief Marketing Officer
Melanie Kurzuk is responsible for leading BoardSuite's worldwide branding and driving the company's product, sales and marketing initiatives.
Melanie is a strategic leader who brings 20 years of demonstrated success in progressively senior roles within the media and information services industry. She is an experienced member of executive committees, strategic planning teams and boards of directors. Most recently, Melanie was Senior Vice President of News and Information Technology at CNW Group (formerly Canada NewsWire) where she was responsible for leading a multi-phase business transformation program. She brings a wealth of knowledge within the governance, disclosure and investor relations space.
Melanie is an active member of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD), Canadian Women in Communications (CWC) and the Radio-Television News Directors Association of Canada (RTNDA).
